I’m Susan Myers, the founder of The Aging Society. My path to senior living wasn’t a straight line, it was born from my own experience as a caregiver. For years, I cared for my husband through his battle with bladder cancer, all while raising our grandson, Aiden. Walking through that season gave me a profound understanding of what families face: the fear, the decisions, and the weight of carrying so much alone.
When my husband passed away, I knew I wanted to use that experience to help others. I entered the world of senior living and quickly realized I had found my calling. Over the past decade, I’ve guided thousands of families through the emotional and practical complexities of elder care, combining professional expertise with a personal understanding that caregiving changes everything.
Aging touches every part of life, emotions, logistics, and relationships. My work as a certified End of Life Doula allows me to support families through one of the most vulnerable stages with presence and dignity. My real estate background gives me the practical tools to guide downsizing, home sales, and relocations without losing sight of what matters most. This combination allows me to approach senior care from every angle, offering both practical solutions and emotional steadiness when families need it most.
Through The Aging Society, I’ve created a space where adult children can find the tools, language, and confidence they need to make decisions for their loved ones. I’m also the author of The Art of Aging: Embracing Every Chapter of Life, a book that reframes aging as a chapter rich with meaning.
As a speaker, I share grounded, relatable insights that help families move from conflict to connection. My signature talk, Senior Care & Family Conflict: Finding Common Ground, equips families with practical ways to move forward together.
Beyond my work, I am most proud of being a mom to my "grandson", Aiden. He reminds me daily of the importance of family, love, and unwavering support values that are deeply woven into everything I do. Family is at the core of my work, and every family I assist receives the same level of care and respect I would want for my own loved ones.
Through The Aging Society, your family becomes part of ours. I am honored to walk this journey with you, providing the tools, compassion, and trusted support you deserve every step of the way.
